Burberry Helps NHS With Hospital Gowns, Masks And Vaccine Research

Burberry steps up to help NHS with hospital gowns, masks and vaccine research. The luxury label supports the British government in its fight against coronavirus pandemic.

Burberry has announced that’s working on a generous support package designed to help UK medical authorities in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

For a start, the British fashion house will use its supply chains and facilities to produce face masks and hospital gowns for the NHS.

According to a press release sent out last weekend, the fashion brand aims to fast-track the supply of more than 100,000 face masks and protective gowns to the NHS.

The company will produce them in its factory in Yorkshire, usually used to manufacture Burberry’s trademark trench coats.

Moreover, the British house has put aside a generous funding package for the University of Oxford’s vaccine research department.

A decade of fashion; here’s to the next one.

The past decade has been turbulent – and defining – for fashion: child labour, climate crisis, gender inequality, animal cruelty, and reckless plastic pollution, just to name a few.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the beginning of this decade does not look too good either.

That’s why finding media that reports with rigour and integrity at heart is difficult in critical times.

Finding media that informs all, regardless of where they live or if they can afford to pay, is even harder.

In these times, independent fashion media magazines are increasingly silenced by commercial ownership and social media misinformation.

So far, your unceasing support has allowed us to keep delivering trustworthy, relevant, high-quality content.
