Vegan Saint Laurent shoes at Met Gala 2019. This year’s Met Gala had an A-list of stars gracing the event, dressed in some of the most exquisite, and equally unusual, vegan attires that delighted viewers from all over the world.
As you’ve already noticed, the vegan media attention focused on Benedict Cumberbatch’s majestic presence in a cruelty-free suit made from bamboo fibres, or on Katy Perry’s extravagant outfit.
Designed to resemble a vegan burger, not sure if we were supposed to applaud or laugh at it.
What’s On Miley Cyrus’s Feet?

But what captured our attention was something more subtle, and yet, extremely elegant; Miley Cyrus’s feet.
A usual of the Met Gala now, Miley Cyrus has arrived in a very unusual angular-style dress, designed with green and black colours, beautifully matched with a pair of vegan shoes made by Saint Laurent. Yes, vegan Saint Laurent shoes!
“Right now, Saint Laurent is what makes me feel most myself,” said the singer.”
First Ever Vegan Saint Laurent Shoes
These are the first ever vegan shoes created by the French luxury house. Formerly known as YSL or Yves Saint Laurent, the shoes were designed especially for Miley, a convicted cruelty-free supporter for a very long time now.
And if it wasn’t already obvious, the mastermind behind Miley’s choice of vegan Saint Laurent shoes and the angular dress magnificent combination lies with the ever so amazing Anthony Vaccarello, Saint Laurent’s creative director.
The vegan Saint Laurent shoe mirrors the brand’s towering Paige-high platform sandals. The design was carefully selected by Vaccarello to allow the American singer to beautifully blend the event’s ‘Camp theme’ within her need to showcase veganism.
Stand Out With Vegan Saint Laurent
This is not the first time when Miley Cyrus uses fashion to impress the Met Gala guests and shift them to cruelty-free fashion. Last year the singer paraded the stage in a mesmerising sustainable satin gown made by the British designer Stella McCartney.
“I am so excited to be here again, part of this unique moment and show the world that we don’t have to be torture animals to look fabulous.”
