Feeling like a Maharani everyday; having a bit of this uplifting attitude in an absolute self-evident and effortless way; that is what the current styles of JeanneSousan are about.
So, for all its splendour it has to be comfortable so that you can make yourself comfortable as ‘a diva on the divan’ or even walk barefoot – striding like a Maharani.
Adorning oneself with EthnoCouture Styles is the appreciation one gives towards oneself. These styles want to bring the outstanding into everyday life.
Each garment is a piece of Couture – I always found it a very special feeling to possess something as the only one. Uniqueness is the only true luxury.
JeanneSousan is not working with Collections. This seems not to be the appropriate approach for a conscious designer conforming with the attitude of consuming less but more elaborated garments.
Instead, there are categories of garments and Archetypes that are worked on till they are “reduced to the essence”. These Couture silhouettes are a profound base to modify future models and individual styles for clients.
For example, the ‘Kimono’- to be ordered as ‘OZ’ in different colours of Silk Organza, additional beading, pintucks and antique Sari embroideries to choose from.
The Signature archetype is the sarong skirt as a refined, figure-hugging skirt with flattering drapes, rich embellishments, and even so relaxed attitude – Maharani Style!
The fabric, colour and details are all customised for each individual to construct a unique style; everything on-demand, either ‘as shown’ or ‘modified’ for clients. Start your very personal ritual, it is an adventure besides routine.
