Here is my selection of fitness apps for weight loss in 2015, smartphone compatible. Best of all, all of these apps are free downloads and available on most popular smartphone platforms. Some of these apps have extras and useful add-ons, called in-app purchases that the one can purchase if needed. Here is my personal selection of fitness apps for exercise, eating and living healthy, that are only a few clicks away.
The Weight Watchers app is one of the best apps for weight loss we have ever tried. It keeps you motivated and on track, wherever life takes you. With “Connect to an Expert” you can now talk to a Weight Watchers expert to get additional support and tips whenever and wherever you need. Easily track your food, activity, and weight (Click. Track. Done.) Track multiple foods at once with our multi-add feature. Search thousands of foods, meals and recipes. Scan barcodes to find the ProPoints value of your favourite foods before they go in your grocery basket. Add custom meals or recipes using our ProPoints calculator. If you’re a runner, biker or walker, this app will track your route via Google Maps, tracking your workout history to compare later. You can also create an account and get motivated by your friends every time you break a mile. My Fitness Pal
It’s no wonder this app is a top pick of both PC Magazine and Wired. Users rave that it is “the simplest, best calorie counter” they have tried and the “first diet tool that has ever worked” for them. The key to Calorie Counter & Diet Tracker’s success is that it incorporates the two weight loss essentials: diet and exercise. Its massive database of more than three million foods lets you track the calories, fat, carbs, and cholesterol in just about everything you eat. The app also offers more than 350 cardio and strength training exercises to help you trim down and tone up making it one of the most valuable apps for weight loss at the moment. This free app lets you look up food to track calories AND track your exercise in the same app. Just input your current weight and your goal weight, and Lose it! will give you a fairly accurate estimate of how many calories to eat per day, and how long it should take to reach that goal. There’s even an online support community you can join where people like you can encourage and hold each other accountable (love that!) You can also scan the barcodes of almost any item and automatically pull calorie and nutritional info from a huge online database, which really helps when you’re grabbing a pre-packed lunch on the go and still want to stay within your daily budgets. Fooducate Healthy Weight Loss
Remember my 14 Healthy Foods that are Actually Bad For You? Fooducate helps you spot those tricky non-health foods quickly by cutting your research time in half.
