Innovative Vegan Startup – Livin’ The MAD Life

Miami’s newest local vegan brand has been making its way across headlines. Mother-daughter duo, Megan and Aroon Duncanson have started their own empowering and vegan fashion label based in Miami, Florida.

The mother-daughter duo launched a designer purse line in January 2018 focused on providing empowering designs to women around the world. Their brand, Livin’ The MAD Life, is completely vegan and cruelty-free, made from synthetic materials and faux leather.

“I am so happy to be able to start a company that pushes for the cruelty-free and vegan movement, it’s amazing how many designers and people are becoming aware of veganism, but there still is not enough designers with the vegan option. My mom and I wanted to make it easier for women to shop beautiful and vegan purses, so we created our own brand that offered just that,” said CoFounder Aroon Duncanson.

Livin’ The MAD Life is a large advocacy for women’s rights and female empowerment. Megan Duncanson, mother and designer, has a past history involving domestic abuse, which inspired her to create her own symbols, and artwork, that inspire and bring happiness into those lives it touches. They also have a hand-painted special line of repurposed bags and purses, customised in original artwork, using fashion acrylic paints.
