Vegan Stan Smiths now on sale.

Since launching her eponymous brand, Stella McCartney has made it her mission to campaign for animal rights.

Upon establishing her namesake brand, McCartney endeavoured to make hers an ethical and conscious company, which vowed to never use leather, fur, skins or feather in the production of any of its materials.

And while some thought at the time that she’d never been able to make green en vogue, it would appear she’s proved the naysayers wrong.

Stella McCartney's new vegan Stan Smiths

After the success of the first Adidas by Stella McCartney Stan Smith collection, she has just designed – due to high demand – her second vegan iteration of the iconic Adidas Stan Smith trainer.

And these are some seriously fun trainers that guarantee twinkle toe-status.

The vegan Stan Smiths sneakers are leather-free and made using vegan materials.

Moreover, the classic Adidas three-stripe pattern on the side of the shoe has been replaced with punched out, laser-cut stars in rainbow shades.

The trainers bring homage to the tennis player Stan Smith as his face is printed on the tongue of the right shoe.

Vegan Stan Smiths – Previous Collaborations

McCartney has been collaborating with Adidas since 2005.

The designer has launched an array of athletic-wear, eyewear, swimwear, fragrances, and lingerie in partnership with the leading sportswear brand, and most recently a post-mastectomy sports bra.

At the start of the next decade in fashion…

… we are asking you, our readers, for help.

The past decade has been a turbulent one across the world – climate crisis, child labour, racism, gender inequality, animal cruelty, plastic pollution, just to name a few.

These are critical times that define our existence, but also times of social media misinformation and independent views silenced by commercial ownership.

Therefore, finding media that reports with integrity at heart, tenacity, and rigour is increasingly difficult.

Finding media that fight to inform and educate all – regardless of where they live or if they can afford to pay – is even harder.

Your support allows us to do that. To deliver independent, trustworthy, quality news.

It allows us to uphold our editorial independence and ensure honest journalism.

It makes us a voice for the voiceless, free from commercial ownership and political bias.

We are grateful to you as none of this is possible without your generosity and continue to count on your support, however big or small.
