Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth marching for a better world – This year’s annual G’Day gala that took place in Los Angeles, California had more vegan on the ‘menu’ (I mean the catwalk 😉) than ever before.
But the cherry on the cake was delivered by Liam Hemsworth, a confessed vegan actor not only when it comes to food choices but also when it comes to the garments he wears.
Invited at the G’day gala to be awarded for his role in the 2016’s “Independence Day: Resurgence“ and “The Hunger Games” series, Liam wore a black suit made from organic cotton, a pair o vegan leather shoes, and a matching belt also made from vegan leather.
Liam is not new to vegan fashion as in the past the Australian actor wore a coat made by ‘Vaute Couture’, a cruelty-free label that makes garments from vegan wool and he wrote on his Facebook page:
“…showing the world no animals need to be harmed to keep you warm, fed, or like really really handsome.”
Liam was also recognised by PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) as Australia’s Sexiest Male Vegan. And it seems like from now on, all the pro-vegan activities will take place in the family as the Aussie actor just married last month another convinced vegan, the globally recognised singing icon, Miley Cyrus.
Liam’s wife, Miley Cyrus, is also an active militant for sustainable fashion and often praised for her open stance. At her London tour, Cyrus wore a vegan leather mini skirt made by Chanel, assorted with a pair of vegan leather boots designed especially for her by Stella McCartney.
That was the moment that made Vogue prise Miley for her sustainable fashion choices calling her ‘forward-looking’ outfit more than just a celebrity-style moment, stating that Miley’s preference for a vegan outfit is a glimpse of the next fashion is going to be, comments that made Miley respond on her Instagram account:
“Yasss! No animals have to die for my look! Saving animals is sexy!”
